[We received from Aser this exciting update on his work and had to pass it on to you here. He previously reported on activity in that part of Africa in the 2018 GOWM Conference.]
I recently opened my own firm with my colleagues who were teaching in Seminary for many years. We are called Kena Media. It focuses more on Consultancy and Training. We have been doing a training for students who came from African countries. I also create a virtual networking and prayer time weekly. We are now growing. We are from Cameroon, Uganda, Kenya, and I hope we will get more. Below is our poster, which you can share with African Film and Media Professionals who can join us. There is also a short video of students after our training.
This year I have received awards at the 168 Film Festival in two categories: best film as director, and best student documentary as producer. [These films can be viewed: "Root of Resilience" and "The Coin". Though right now (Fall 2024) they are behind a paywall, they might be free later.]
