[ We invited Bethany graduates in Communication and Media Arts to report what they were up to, and respond to some questions about how they have used what they learned at Bethany and since. Please feel free to greet, ask questions, and comment. ]
When did you graduate from Bethany, what was your major, and in what, if anything, did you specialize while in school?
I graduated from Bethany in 2018. I majored in Media Arts with an emphasis in Broadcasting. While in school, I was a part of the Maverick Hockey broadcasts, learning anything that I could.
What are you doing now with media/technology?
Currently I am working at CCX Media in Brooklyn Park, MN. It is a community access station that covers nine of the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis. I help with technical support and run master control for one of our stations. I provide support for our production truck that covers high school sports in the area and I make sure our broadcasts get on the air.
Do you have any goals or aspirations beyond what you are doing now,and Have you found any opportunities to use your skills and experience for Gospel outreach?
It has definitely been a blessing to be where I'm at now. For a goal, I would like to get back into creating media for Gospel outreach. I haven't had many opportunities for that since graduation.

Discussion
Given the more recent switch away from linear television to on demand content, what would you say has had the biggest impact on your career? Would you say that in any way it has made it easier or harder to spread the Good News? As a Christian, what do you think is the hardest part of the great commission in terms of media. Sometimes I have the feeling that working in the media can be a trap to pull you away from the gospel as the media can sometimes be hostile. Do you ever feel this way? How do you combat the feeling?
